WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Juxtaposition – Size Matters

Size matters… or does it?

size mattersAs soon as I saw this week’s prompt, juxtaposition, I thought of this humorous comparison.

The little travel trailer in the photograph is circa 1960s and lives on our ranch in McCall, Idaho for overflow guests in the summer. It has been in the family for generations. We humorously call it The Luuuv Nest. I simply couldn’t resist this shot with the antique trailer in front of the huge RV that another family member brought up for a vacation. I’ve given the original photo a vintage treatment in line with the age of the little trailer.

We are still looking for the perfect caption for it. Here are a few we’ve come up with.

… You’ve got great aspirations baby! …

… Are you my mother? …

… I love you just the way you are …

And of course the classic… Size Matters

I’d love to hear any other ideas you have!

Love this! Would have hit “like” but it seems disabled on your posts. Don’t know if it’s happening at my end or yours. Other blogs seem ok – but not all. Sigh. Anyway, great post 🙂

Thank you soooo much for commenting here… I don’t know why my theme keeps disabling my comments when I publish a new post… they’re supposed to be on by default. Then I forget to check!
Thank you so much for the link to Homer’s painting. The description is really interesting. (comments are now on for my barn post)

Reminds me of the time back in college when we were sleeping in tents at night during our bike trip and a family pulled in next to us in an old school bus. 🙂

    “to each their own…”

    or something like
    “different strokes for different folks”

But I like the small one a bit more than the big ol’ shiny one.

hahaha, great comparison Meghan. I must say, it does look like a cosy little love nest and I just love that big motorhome. Great shot and entry for the challenge! 😀
