I’ve decided to try out a new feature I thought up called Whose Blog is it Wednesday.
My plan is to write a post on Wednesday as I usually do, perhaps inspired by a photo challenge or a life happening, and then find a few posts by some of my favorite fellow bloggers on the same subject to include with it. This is my inaugural post… we’ll see how it goes.
I don’t know about you, but around here there is a network of squirrely fellows who take it upon themselves to serve as the neighborhood watch.
The fellow below is the one who teases Cooper the Cattledog on our walks in the park. You can read about it here if you’d like. He seems to keep track of what’s what in the park and who is where.
These little fellows (there are two) flit up and down from the tree to the grass when Cooper isn’t looking. I’m pretty sure they’re young and so need a few more lessons on watching.
And this fat squirrel makes life in our backyard interesting for the two cats and the cattledog. You can see a post about him complete with a short video showing him stealing birdseed (the nerve) here.
He most certainly keeps tabs on this side of the street as he leaps from tree to tree above the neighborhood fences. Do you have a neighborhood watch in your part of the world? 😉
When I decided to feature squirrels today as my first Whose Blog is it Wednesday, I knew if I did a word search using squirrel on some of my favorite dog blogs I’d find some posts to feature. And I did!
- Cupcake of Cupcake Speaks gives us an inspirational quote, a song, and a wistful wish to climb trees in Inspirational Quote of the Week.
- Roxy the Traveling Dog tells us about a wonderful walk, and how Torrey almost got into trouble in Just a nice day for a walk.
- And Bongo of Bongodogblog had an Unwelcome Visitor taunting him with food!
- Just so the dogs don’t steal the show here today, I’m including a lovely post from The English Professor at Large, Garden Interlude.
None of these are long posts and if you aren’t familiar with any of these blogs I think you’ll really enjoy yourself if you visit.
I would absolutely love it if you have a squirrel post in your archives you’d like to share. Just put the link in the comments below and we’ll have a squirrely time at your place!
As always I am so pleased that you visited. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day.
