V: Celebration in Violet

This week I photographed sweet violet flowers in our front yard. I don’t know what they are but I imagine them as fairy flowers.

The celebration of beauty is an invitation to ask your soul everyday, ‘mind if I join you?’ ~Anonymous

These photos have only been cropped and framed, no post processing needed. They were taken with my iPhone 4. What a miraculous thing that we can take such fantastic images with our phones.
Let’s suppose these little dime sized violet flowers really are a fairy playground… do you think the pixies see them the same way we do? Perhaps they see them more like this…

I don’t know about you, but I imagine the fairies celebrating the beauty of the darling flowers by dancing around them in the moonlight.

Thank you for visiting. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day. I’m linking to Ese’s Shoot and Quote, with the word celebrate.

I ready for an upgrade too! The camera is great but the storage and processing capabilities aren’t the best for someone who takes as many shots at me. Thanks so much for commenting. 🙂

well i saw the cutest “statue fairy” on our walk tonight – it was little and on a post – and your post today made me think of it – I need to go back and grab a photo. anyhow, your flowers are great – and love the edited versions – such nice purples….

Oh, you have a point there! Hmmmmm, I think only one of our local fairies is the jealous type. Her name is Pansy, so she might well be jealous of a pretty violet flower.

Yes, I’m big on variations on a theme. The app is for an iPhone and it’s called Waterlogue.Thank you for the lovely comment!

Looks like a variation on a theme I see there. 😉 Very pretty! Does that effect have a name? (I don’t have a smart phone yet, so editing with apps is something I’m not familiar with.) I especially like the way you cropped and grouped them; there’s something very cohesive about the arrangement.

Fairies could definitely have a blast with those gorgeous things. But they might not like competing with the flowers’ beauty! I hope they’re not jealous fairies….
