Take a Chill Pill

My cat Buffy told me today to take a chill pill.

Apparently she and the rest of my fur family think I’ve gotten a little obsessed with this blog.  Granted, I spend almost every waking moment in front of an electronic device either editing photos, writing posts, learning about SEO or reading all my blogger friends’ posts. But obsessed? Isn’t that exaggerating a little?

Not according to them, and they had some advice for me. Cooper said that not only could we increase our walks and frisbee playing sessions, but rolling on something smelly in the grass is a great stress reliever.

Jack wisely advised me to take naps throughout the day, preferably in the sunlight.

And Buffy mentioned that catnip works wonders.

All of them agreed I need to stop taking this thing too seriously, life is meant to be fun after all.

As for me? I agree that I do need to take a chill pill, but it’s not the easiest thing for this artistic, bi-polar, perfectionist to let go of an obsession! However, I do know that I will burn myself out in time if I don’t ease off, lay in the sunshine, and do some rolling around in the grass (I’ll skip the smelly thing 😉 )

As always I welcome your comments on this or any other part of my blog. You all rock, and I’ll comment back when I’ve finished my chill pill. 🙂 This is part of Thursday’s Special with Paula at Lost in Translation.

The scheduling is critical now for me! I cut out a few challenges I was doing every week. Gotta keep it to only a blog a day if I can. The timer is a great idea!

I am trying to limit myself to a post a day, but there are so many fun prompts!!!! Ah well, health and welfare first. 😉

They are right as in you do need to remember to move around and take breaks. All the pre work gojng in to making a post and networking and socializing takes tonnes of time and it’s so easy to get wrapped up in it and worse if esp passionate about things 🙂

Sunshine is so good for you and fresh air plus some time with your furry buddies!

I put a timer on now and stick to it. I was trying to make a post for all three blogs and it was stressing me out. So I separate a post per day and separate reading and chatting time it’s how it works well for me or the days just gone lol

I’m actually simply going to cut back on the number of posts I do rather than take a break. I’ve averaged 1.5 posts a day over the past two weeks and that’s just too much. It’s just that there are so many fun challenges etc. But, I’ll pick and choose over the next month and see what calls me, and bring my posting to only one a day! Thanks so much for commenting!

But I bet blogging doesn’t get in the way of your motorcycle riding! lol It certainly doesn’t for me. Thanks so much for commenting!

You have some very intelligent animals/fellow house mates, I know what you mean blogs can take over your life. In my case it was also a good excuse not to paint the walls, cut the lawn and clear out the sheds. Then again I use the same excuses when I go out on the motorbike not to have to do painting, gardening and clearing out.
