When I think of street life my mind initially goes to busy cities, but today I’m featuring the streets of our summer town of McCall, Idaho.

There is something pretty special about the next street, Deinhard Lane. It’s named after my husband’s grandfather Bill Deinhard. Bill was a long time resident of McCall, buying the Hotel McCall in the mid 40’s (it stayed in the family for about 45 years). He had his fingers in many pies in McCall during his lifetime.

Thanks to River Ranch for the map.

We can’t wait until our retirement to McCall in a year. Although we’ll spend the six warm months there and be snowbirds in the winter, one day I’d love to visit during the Winter Carnival.

  1. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to respond to this comment! I’m so sorry! I’m still trying to organize my days. I agree the winter carnival looks great in that shot. More reason to visit then (my hubby is NOT one for staying in the snow time).

  2. When I saw “McCall, Idaho” on the pingback, I knew instantly it would be yours. 🙂 Looks like a great place and I love the Winter Carnival photo. Our choices this week are geographically close.
