Snappy H’appy Finale: Let’s Tell a Story

This is the twelfth and last week of the Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge, the grand finale! It’s time for a story telling collage using two techniques we learned in the challenge.

Please take some time to look at the amazing techniques JX has taught us over the last 11 weeks. She not only researched each subject extensively but also found apps for both i-stuff and droid stuff so we could try them out. AND she is an amazing teacher with her featured apps. I highly recommend bookmarking this link (here) to learn these wonderful techniques from an excellent instructor.

Along with editing our photos in two different ways (our choice), JX also suggests we tell a story with our images for the finale. What a great idea. I decided to use a collage of three images, made up of six. I wanted to revisit double exposure to get more experience with it, as I’d never done it before. Here are the six photos I used, all from the Idaho ranch and all taken by me.

The second image app I decided to use is the text application. I created three collages, telling the same story (same collage) but with different words.

Which finale photo collage do you like best?

What an amazing journey of discovery you have led me on JX. Thank you! I will be looking back at your Snappy H’appy posts often to become more adept at these techniques.

As always I’m so pleased that you visited. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day. πŸ˜€

  1. What an excellent finale. These photos are really inspiring. I am still working on week 12 finale entry. This challenge was one of the best I have contributed to because I have learnt and discovered so much about photo effects. I can’t say enough good things about this. Thanks for co-hosting this.

  2. Thanks! That was my husband’s response as well. He didn’t even read the blue text as he thought the color was all wrong. It really is a beautiful place.

  3. Wow, super choices. Love the overlays with people/animal/landscapes. Very nice!! As for the text, I prefer either of the first two, simply because I think the white lettering is more effective than the blue. Beautiful place.

  4. Great job! I love the angles and how the components fit together. As for me, I’m partial to the first one. All of the overlay combinations seem to display the looking and longing for “out there,” and suggesting adventure gives it a spiciness. I keep meaning to try some collages, but haven’t gotten there yet.

  5. Go Idaho indeed! When I’m up there I always tag my Twitter photo/posts with #Idahome and the tourist bureau picks up on it. They follow me for the month. lol I like the second one the best too. My hubby likes the first one because it shows more of the picture behind it. Thank you so much for dropping by an commenting. You rock. πŸ˜€

  6. Thank you so much my friend. I was much happier with this double exposure exercise than my first one. No worries on the drafts… life happens and it turned out perfectly. I’m so happy with all my posts and it’s such fun to visit the other participants. We need a I Survived Snappy H’appy badge… πŸ˜‰ . I truly will be revisiting some of your posts because I didn’t write down all the apps and instructions! Thanks for a great challenge, and thank you for the wonderful testimonial.

  7. I love what you did with the photos and the blending!! OMG, and thank you for being such a great and patient and tolerant co-host. The last few weeks did de-rail a bit since I can’t get the drafts to you on time at all!! May apologies about that!!

Just have to say that Meghan aka Firebonnet, you are a wonderfully creative soul and the most supportive pal a blogger can have! πŸ˜‰

That’s my testimonial for you!! πŸ˜€ Thank you once again!

  8. The second one is my fav. the Idaho is more personal whereas the adventure and the July one are general terms – still very cool terms – but the Idaho reminds me of your place and where your adventure happens…. also, I still recall that really cool picture you shared of the winding roads in Idaho and we do not see this state’s beauty highlighted enough – πŸ™‚ so go…Idaho! have a great day…
