Sepia Tone Dreams on Sepia Saturday

I am joining the new blog hop, Sepia Saturday, hosted by Ruckus the Eskie.  I had a lot of fun with this… so much fun that I made three different sepia tone versions of the same photo.

The model is my wonderful house cat Buffy.  Now that the weather has turned colder, she cuddles up in this cozy blanket in her little ‘room’ on the cat tree.  My mother gave me the blanket a few years ago… it has affirmations on it, all around the theme: feelings of joy.  I believe it’s a little redundant for my cat to be soaking up joy vibes since she exudes joy, but she has taken the blanket as hers and I’ll have to sneak it away when it needs washing!

I’d love to know which of these photos you like the best and why. You will find other wonderful sepia images by going on the blog hop below hosted by Ruckus the Eskie.

I am also entering My Best Photo of the Week with the third of these shots.  I am truly pleased with the way the treatment turned out.

I like all of them but I reall love the first one! It just seems to fit so well with Buffy 🙂

Thanks for sharing the blog hop, I hadn’t heard of it yet but it sounds like lots of fun!

Jan, it’s funny but the blanket is orange and yellow and I don’t think the colors are as becoming to Buffy as some other colors are. But I notice the texture and the similarity with her coat now that the ‘playing field’ is even through the sepia treatment. Thanks for dropping by!

I love how cozy Buffy looks in all of them. #3 is my favorite….I think it is the aged look that gives it more character. The texture of the blanket seems to stand out more, and it looks well used and comfortable!

Beautiful photo of Buffy and the meaningful story to the favorite blanket. I love the last photo and how the blanket blends so well with the fur coat.
Thanks for linking up to my Sepia Saturday! So excited to see more!
