Photo Editing my Feathered Friends

This week in Sonel’s Photo Editing Challenge she is inspiring us with feathers as a prompt, but as I have no photos of feathers, I will feature feathered friends instead. (How’s that for alliteration!)

In my Random Moments of Delight post on Sunday (here), I wrote about songbirds and illustrated it with two photos of a house finch I took in 2011.

These photographs were the first ones I used when I started learning about layering textures with images. I fell in love with the results immediately. The texture is particularly apropos for my musical feathered friends. (Take a closer look if you don’t see it at first.)

As always I welcome your comments on this or any other part of my blog. I can’t wait to visit my fellow bloggers to see what their take is on Sonel’s prompt, feathers (here).
