I have so many photographs of footwear, I chose to limit myself to what I’ve worn on the Idaho ranch for this prompt, or the post would be way too long!
I have lots of shots of my socks and shoes so love this prompt from Sonel for her photo-editing challenge this week. What follows are shoes, socks and boots that I have worn on the McCall property, with the original photo and then two edits.
My first summer on the ranch, I got up early in the mornings to enjoy the fresh clean air. I had fun with this shot of my clashing plaid socks and pj’s on the porch steps.
Last year when I was cleaning out the little trailer that guests use when visiting the ranch (here), I found these great boots that belonged to Tim’s Aunt Katie (it was her ‘going fishing’ trailer). Low and behold they fit like a glove!
Last summer I thought it would be fun to do a variation on the theme of my plaid socks on the porch steps, so I took this shot.
I call these my Happy Boots. I found them at a Salvation Army, all broken in for riding, complete with a little hay in the seams. Every time I wear them I recall the delight I had growing up with horses.
Some of you may remember from earlier posts that Tim and I got married on the ranch … I wore the boots under my wedding dress, with ‘something borrowed’ socks.
As always I welcome your comments on this or any other part of my blog. Please head over to Sonel’s Photo-Editing Challenge to find more fun posts of footwear!
