Phoneography: Portrait of a Pixie

I visited my son and daughter-in-law last week and met my new granddaughter Emma, a darling little pixie.

I was there for a professional photo shoot of infant Emma. For one of the shots, Megan (my daughter-in-law) and the photographer, Ginnie, very slowly and gently placed the sleeping little lady in a basket. I love this shot I caught as they were lovingly arranging her.

Little pixie Emma taken with an iPhone 4 native camera. Slight cleanup with Pixlr Express.

Of all the joys that lighten suffering earth, what joy is welcomed like a newborn child?

I wanted to be as unobtrusive as possible but still record the precious moment… I’m so glad I have a smart phone! How about you? Have you had those moments where you snuck in and grabbed a terrific shot with just your smart phone?

As always I am so pleased that you visited. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day. :D

I was going to put this shot in the post on Sunday and the more I thought about it the more I decided it belonged in your challenge. It is a lovely portrait.
