Phoneography Challenge: Selfie … Reflected

Selfie … Reflected

Taken with an iPhone 4 and edited in Snapseed.

I just can’t help taking a selfie every month or so.  Add a reflection and I’m in heaven!  My husband is rebuilding a motorcycle and this engine was in our driveway one day. I just couldn’t pass by without playing with the mirrored surface. Look closely at the distortion in the reflection… not just of my arm, but check out my deformed fingers! The fourth and fifth Mondays of the month are challenger’s choice for the Phoneography Challenge and I’m going with portraiture today.  Selfie is probably the newest form of self portraiture. I urge all you with a phone or tablet to take pics of yourself now and then!

As always I welcome comments on this or any part of my blog.

Really good, Meghan. I like the idea and I like reflections. When I take photos of myself, I tend to take them in the bathroom mirror and then crop out the iPad/Phone before posting. Works well. 🙂

Meghan, selfies can be over the edge or deliciously revealing. I like your image for its creative edge–the way that you processed it. It has a charm of multiple story lines. Fits so well for the portrait category. I wonder if I should put a parenthesis and include selfies. Or leave to one’s imagination as you did so well. Happy Phoneography Monday.
