Phoneography Challenge: B&W – And a Touch of Green

Black and white and green

Taken with an iPhone4, edited in Snapseed and colorized in ColorSplash.

I found this fellow on the ground at a gas station while I was filling up.  He didn’t move so I took a few shots.  I love shadows and thought the positive and negative space my hands and phone make is terrific.  The colorization was natural since this guy was such an intense color against the asphalt.

As always I welcome any comments on this or any part of my blog.

After reviewing my photos from this week, I’ve chosen this as my best.  I love the composition, the shadow and the pop of green.  Thanks We Life In a Flat for this challenge.

In truth the original photo was not that much different. But making it black and white increased that contrast that little bit more to create a more startling effect. Thanks Janet!
