Framing the Sunlight

This Live Oak is framing the sunlight on a beautiful Southern California day.

Taken with an iPhone4, cropped in Snapseed.

A Word in you Ear’s word of the week is frame and I think this tree, framing the sun, works splendidly. And since this week Sonel’s Photo-Editing Challenge is our February choice I thought I’d do some edits on this shot and use it for that prompt as well. I hope that’s OK with both my challenge hosts. Just click on any image below to see the gallery.

If you think this tree looks familiar, I have featured the same oak in two other posts, Tree Smile and Live Oak. There is no framed sunlight in either of those shots though!

As always I welcome your comments on this or any other part of my blog. Please visit A Word in Your Ear for more frame images, and Sonel’s Corner for some awesome photo-editing!

Isn’t it cool? I just stood under it and shot tons of images on my iPhone (and the long shot too obviously).
