Feel Good Photo of the Day 10

Geranium blossom in my back yard garden. Taken with a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, finishing touches with Pixlr Express. 10.13.15

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

Today I am joining the Phoneography Challenge at Lens and Pens by Sally. Today’s challenge is macro photography. I don’t feel like my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 takes very good macros… closeups yes, but not what I think of as macros. Above is the image as shot (plus frame and signature in Pixlr Express). The images below are simply crops of this image to try to get more macro-ish.

The last few lose the crispness I like in a shot like this. But hey, I love the first one! Oh, and I just got an iPhone 6s today. We’ll see how that does macros!

As always I am so pleased that you visited. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day.

Yes, Yes, Yes it makes a difference… There is a depth to the images that was lacking in the Samsung as well as a better shake stabilizer (a 59 yr old photographer needs one of those! lol) I have much lest post editing to do on the images with the 6s. And thank you very much for the compliment and your enjoyment of the quote.

Meghan, so good to see you here again! I hope all’s well with you and yours. Lovely color and photos. I hear the iPhone 6 has an even better camera than my 5s, but I’m not likely to be upgrading soon. 🙂 Enjoy.

Welcome back…it marvelous to have you join the challenge again. I like your macro, because it gives the geranium a soft feel. Well, you got the iPhone 6s, which will change your ability to do macro. It will change the content of your photographic tool kit. Have FUN. Happy Photo Challenge.
