Buffy's Haiku Thursday Buffy Cat June 17, 2014 Buffy’s Haiku Tuesday #30: Mice are Faster Still Buffy Cat here with my monthly haiku. The problem with cats is that they get the exact same look on their face whether they see a moth or an axe-murderer. Paula Poundstone Love those cute lizards, Fast and sometimes still as stone. Mice are faster still… mew xoxox Buffy xoxox mew Don’t ask me why Mom and Dad took all four lizards and two mice back outside. I thought they’d be happy to accept my gifts. I didn’t hurt any of them! I don’t feel like I get enough cuddle time with the kitties (which I think they miss too) with the jealous dog always around. perhaps if they had all grown up together instead of being step children thrown together it would have been different. THey are cats though and do insist on cuddling despite the whining dog, just not as peacefully as when they were ‘only’ pets. prior June 18, 2014 at 5:34 am very fun! and wow – I have not heard Paula Poundstone’s name in maybe two decades = and her line about cat’s was funny… and this was so cute: “I thought they’d be happy to accept my gifts…. I always wanted a cat but my husband and oldest son are very allergic – and so we have always had only dogs – but cats are fun and Buffy’s poems highlight a bit of their wit!!! I’m only blogging a little now, but it may pick up in the fall when it gets colder outside. Meghan June 17, 2014 at 9:52 am Cupcake, it’s just so much easier to play with my new friends in the walk-in shower… the lizards stay in there, but those mice just scamper right out! Outside huh Cupcake? Well, maybe… ~Buffy Genevieve Petrillo June 17, 2014 at 9:42 am “Gifts” like that are better off outside, for MANY reasons. Smart parents….
