Buffy’s Haiku Thursday: Haiku Poems Play Catch-Up

I decided I wanted to write haiku poems on October 24, 2013.

(Almost) every week I’ve written a haiku, and Mom has picked a photo of me to go with it (even some from my kittenhood).  Since most of the haiku poems are on our old Two Cats and a Cattledog blog, I decided to bring all of them over here to catch everyone up. Here they are.

Whisker Whispers

My whiskers whisper

As sun sleep takes me away –

Falling leaves outside.

Leaping Legs

I sleep above the dog

Stretching out to claim my place –

Legs are for leaping.

Living in Sunshine

D.O.G. seems kind, asleep,

Yet I’m constantly alert –

I live for sunshine.

Reflections of Kittenhood

Windows and mirrors,

Reflections of kittenhood –

Am I split in two?

It’s Not Just Black and White

haiku poems

I give thanks for Jack,

Even though he likes the D.O.G. –

It’s not just black and white.

November 28, 2013 (Thanksgiving post)

Thanksgiving Tuna

Eating with family,

I am thankful for tuna –

May I be excused?

Guest poet – Cooper the Cattledog

Roses are red

Violets are blue

I can write Haiku

Like you.

(Sorry, he’s new to writing haiku poems.)

Candles and Kittens

That thing called fire,

An interesting experience –

Singed whiskers.

Can you stretch like me?

I was born to cat dance –

Where is the music?

Then and Now

Then, now, old and young,

2013 … 2014

Are we that different?

Autumn Leaves

They crunch and crackle,

Delicious bits of tree leaves –

I will bathe when done.

Mom’s Bed

I have claimed Mom’s bed –

No dog will chase me away.

Safety in numbers.

There, now you are caught up with my haiku poems. The other three are here on this blog. Thank you for reading, and as Mom says, I welcome your comments (as long as they’re nice) 😉 .
