I’ve been on vacation for much of the summer and have neglected to keep up with the 1 Day 1 World Project I started in May.
So this week in the 1 Day 1 World Project hosted by Lisa at Northwest Frame of Mind I’m catching you up on the last 7 weeks, giving you a glimpse into my personal world from 8 pm to 2 am! (you can find previous hours here).
8-9 pm… we played Frisbee with Cooper on the Idaho ranch (ok, we played Frisbee at all hours every day on the ranch!). Looking at this photo, I realize how much weight he lost over the 5 weeks we were there… as you can see he was chubby!
9-10 pm… sunsets were simply beautiful every night we were on the ranch. And yes the sun sets that late in mid summer in McCall, Id.
10-11 pm… this week we were in Estes Park, Co at my parent’s 60th wedding anniversary celebration. So many people were there and we had fun moving from hotel room to hotel room visiting with different combinations of family members. Here Tim plays House of the Rising Sun in my sister-from-another-mother’s room (she brought the guitar and a mandolin and enhanced the gathering with music and merriment). Honestly, I’m not sure what hour this was taken at… but hey, artistic license!
11-12 pm… Tim took me dancing for the first time in our relationship. (Remember I suffered from arthritis and had a complete hip replacement so it wouldn’t have been much fun until now when I’m fully mobile). Anyway, it was great fun. That’s him with the straw hat dancing with a friend.
12-1 am… Because the sun sets so late in McCall, we ended up being awake late. Here Tim reads on his smart phone while I read on my Kindle.
1-2 am… On our long drive back to California, we stopped at McDonald’s in… ? … for a potty break for us and the dog. Cooper’s gotten used to doing his business on all sorts of surfaces on our long drives (as have I… ahem).
2-3 pm… Back in Camarillo I caught a glimpse of the bouquet of flowers my romantic hubby gave me, lit by our battery operated candle “nightlight”, as I headed to the bathroom (at least this time I didn’t have to crouch next to the truck hoping I wouldn’t be illuminated by a passing motorist 😉 ).
There you have it! I’ve caught up and am ready to record next week’s 3-4 am hour … geez… really? 3-4? I guess I’ll hope for insomnia. 😉
As always I am so pleased that you visited. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day.
