1 Day 1 World Project: 6-7 pm – Date Night

Every week my husband and I go on a date.

date

Usually our date is on a Thursday night, but this week we went on Wednesday night. Monday through Thursday one of our favorite Mexican restaurants serves free bean dip and fresh tortilla chips with your drinks. Free is a magic word for my husband… ๐Ÿ˜‰ . So we head on over to Yolanda’s and sit at the bar. We enjoy the hustle and bustle of the bartenders as they make everyone’s drinks.

This week between 6 and 7 pm however, there wasn’t room for us at the bar so we sat at a table. I was pretty bummed that we weren’t at the bar for our date, but my sweet hubby said “it’s just fine, this way I can look at your beautiful face across the table.” Awwwwww….

This week in the 1 Day 1 World Project hosted by Lisa at Northwest Frame of Mind Iโ€™m giving you a glimpse into my personal world between 6-7 pm (you can find hours noon-6 here).

As always I am so pleased that you visited. Your comments warm my heart and put a smile in my day. :D Come back next week when I share what I did in my day between 7 and 8 โ€ฆ itโ€™ll be a surprise.. for both of us!

We’ve been married for 2.5 years so we’re in sync there too! I’m on the East coast, it’s JUST starting to feel like summertime here, we had a longggg winter – I’m debating going to eat by the water AGAIN tonight! ๐Ÿ™‚ We have such a busy summer with weddings and things so this weekend is our last one of freedom for a while so I’m trying to cram everything in! Keep us posted on your fun date nights!

Our kids are young enough that we have staying in sorts of date nights- but one day we’ll be back to free tortilla chips – yum!

Guacamole at the table! How festive! I’m so glad you also do date nights. I hope we keep it up for years. (We’ve only been married 2 years and I still feel like a newlywed.) Your night sounds wonderful!!!!! I enjoy looking at the ocean while eating too, it’s so peaceful. Are you on the east or west coast?

I LOVE THIS!!! Date nights are very important (and FUN!)…. my hubby and I go on them too every week… last night we went to a place right on the Seacoast overlooking the water and split seafood chowder and an entree of fried clams and scallops, I felt like I was on vacation! I like seeing the pics of your date night, for a long time my hubby would pick me up from work on Fridays and we would go to a Mexican place too! We loved it, they made guacamole right at our table- and of course they had great chips and salsa! I’m with your hubby, the word *free* strikes my interest big time! Thanks again for sharing!!!

It is lots of fun to have a date night with your spouse. What a great $$ deal! Yes, we’ve gotten to the point of sharing our meals as well, servings are so large any more! And neither of us needs any more poundage. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    HOw fun = <3

and we have a local Mexican food place that looks similar – but they serve free chips every night of the week – with salsa then some kind of white sauce (which I do not really like),
but we always get the same thing when we have a date night there – which is a big ol fajita meal – that we share – and so even with bevs and a hearty tip- it is a date that is under 30 bucks – which is win, win, win for us.

and the huac looks good at Yolanda's too! ๐Ÿ™‚
    have a nice day

It’s pretty fun! And of course… you have me thinking about what kinds of things to post for the later hours in the night. At least up in Idaho the sun doesn’t set until very late… ๐Ÿ˜‰
